

Agali is the remotest and the most backward tribal village and hill station in Palakkad District, Malabar, Kerala, India. Agali Town located at an ascent of 750 metres and the highest point is the Malleswaram Peak at 1,664 metres. It is the nearest town for Silent Valley National Park, opened in 1985.
Agali town is based in the Attappadi Reserve Forest which is spread over 249 km² area is an informal second intermediary zone adjacent to the Silent Valley National Park. All buses heading from Kerala halts at Silent Valley National Park at Mukkaly first and then moves to Agali and finally terminate at Anakkatty on the Tamil Nadu border. Whereas, buses heading from Coimbatore go to Anakkatty first, then comes to Agali and finally reaches Silent Valley National Park at Mukkaly before proceeding the journey down to Mannarkkadu.
